White Knight operates a door-to-door laundry service for both domestic and
businesses customers. With laundries and depots throughout England, they use a
franchised model to ensure maximum coverage across the UK resulting in an annual
turnover in excess of £10 million.

The White Knight website has become an increasingly strong source for generating
new customers and a key point of engagement for customer interaction. Wishing to
enhance the online White Knight customer experience, an innovative set of
improvements were requested.
BMN were engaged to entirely redesign the internet site, install a content
management system (CMS) and, most importantly, develop a secure customer account
management portal. The resultant site provides a distinct and unique customer
experience that sets White Knight apart from their competitors.
Following a period of user centric analysis, BMN designed a new look and feel
that met both the branding needs and the various key audience groups. To support
the design, BMN then developed and installed a Sitefinity Content Management
System (v4) to manage templates and web site content.
The advantages of using this product over other sources of CMS were the
relatively low cost, fully supported, robust, and easy to use. Primarily, though
it provided BMN with a robust platform to extend the solution with the
capabilities of our C# .NET developers.
Interfaces to the back office systems, based on Synergy DBL, were created to
expose customer data to the portal in a secure fashion. This meant that, in an
industry first, laundry customers were able to review and make changes to their
accounts, vastly reducing the amount of office based resource required to
operate the business.
